
Alberto was born in Princeton, NJ, and grew up in Mexico City, where he earned his medical degree with honors from Universidad Panamericana in 2024, completing clinical rotations in both Mexico and the United States. In his final year, he received a research scholarship and completed a year of clinical research at the National Cancer Institute of Mexico. He joined the Bing Center after graduation as a research fellow, where he supports both clinical and translational research. He works in clinic alongside Dr. Castillo and supports the laboratory team, bridging clinical data and laboratory findings to advance research from bench to bedside and back. He is also involved in building patient data registries for clinical research and collaborating with other institutions as part of the Waldenström Macroglobulinemia Network (WM-Network). He aspires to become a physician-scientist specializing in hematology and oncology.
